Cell Counting and Evaluation

Bio-Optics provides a variety of computer software for eyebanking. Flower 2500 provides basic cell counting and laser printed images and is included at no charge with the LSM 2200E2 Petite Princess to provide a complete endothelial evaluation system. Thumper 2500 provides basic cell counting, laser printed images, and basic reporting of endothelial analysis results. Bambi 2500 goes farther and also provides additional endothelial analysis programs, database features, and basic communication. Bambi 2500 adds advanced features including fully automated cell counting using AutoCount which can count 800 cells in less than 4 seconds. Bambi 2500 also allow special programs to be written for you and run from within the Bambi 2500 framework.

Eyebank Reports

Eyebanks need to generate a variety of reports and documents. Bio-Optics software will easily generate these for you, and, if there is a report you need that is not supplied, just call us and discuss it. If it's a common report that others also want, we'll add it for no cost. If it's a special report for you only, we'll add it for a small fee. Thumper 2000 and Bambi 2000 generate basic reports giving the endothelial image along with cell count data, information regarding the donor, etc.

Eyebank Database generates a variety of reports recommended by the EBAA. In each case, the data generated by Bio-Optics software can also be input into any of the major database packages, Paradox, dBase, Access, Oracle, etc., and integrated with data you already have or expanded to meet additional needs.

Eyebank Databases

Bambi 2500 provides a basic database containing donor identification, image file name, eell count data, etc. For many eyebanks this database is sufficient.

Bio-Optics Eyebank Database provides much more. Patterned after the EBAA recommended forms, Eyebank Database maintains a comprehensive database that is visually similar to the EBAA forms, contains all the data given on those forms in an electronic format, and provides additional forms and reports for invoicing and other activities required in eyebanking.

As eyebanking becomes ever more popular worldwide, the need for efficient and effective communications among eyebanks increases. Bio-Optics is bringing you the tools to bring about this communication. Using the telephone lines, the Internet, or satellite dish, eyebanks can communicate via our Bambi 2500 system to assist in the obtaining or placing of corneas, sharing information, obtaining assistance and advice, etc.
