LSM-2100C: The Industry Standard
Bio-Optics manufactures and sells the LSM-2100C Eyebank
Specular Microscope with contrast enhancing slits, Digi-Rocking stage, and Vari-Mount for
mounting either video camera, 35 mm camera, Polaroid camera, or two of these cameras
simultaneously. It is available at lower cost without the contrast enhancing slits in a
video-only model without the vari-mount feature. Either instrument can be obtained with an
optional micrometer XY stage as well as with the standard and widely used Digi-Rocking

Modular Design
Those who think far into the future will doubtlessly find
Bio-Optics instrumentation especially appealing. We are quite aware that the
ophthalmological and eyebanking communities are not static environments but dynamic
organizations with changing needs. Our knowledge of this fact is reflected in the modular
design of our instrument systems. Products designed on this philosophy have many
advantages over products which are not.
Examine several:
- Accesorizing is simple. Should you choose to retrofit your instrument with an XY stage
or a new type of camera, you'll have no problem doing so.
- Upgrading is simple. One reason our new lens/camera upgrade is so inexpensive is because
of its simplicity. When we designed the LSM-2100C we knew that video and optics were
ever-progressing technologies. Rather than plan for our instrument's obsolescence we
allowed for the easy incorporation of technological improvements. Further, installing the
upgrade is so simple it will take only minutes.
- Maintenance is simple. When you, decide to have your optics undergo routine cleaning you
won't need to send us the entire instrument. Simply detach the optics head and ship only
it: it is an easier package to handle, and will save you money in shipping costs.
