The New
LSM-2200C/E2 Petite Princess Eyebank Specular Microsope provides a state-of-the-art
improvement over any other specular microscope available today. It enables viewing the
corneal endothelium of donor corneas, in either vials or chambers, has an XYZ knot
adjustable stage and can have a digital pachymeter added to it. It is the most advanced
microscope yet developed for the evaluation of the corneal endothelium prior to
transplantation and is usually purchased with our frame grabber and software for a
complete cell counting and evaluation system.

Application
It is now well established that endothelial evaluation by
specular microscopy is the standard for evaluating donor corneas prior to transplantation.
|
Birth of the Petite Princess
Following the decision to provide storage media only in
vials and not in chambers, there arose a need for an in-strument to enable the imaging of
the corneal endothelium in vials. The Petite Princess was developed by combining
the best features the Bio-Optics LSM-2100C with the newest optical and video technology.
With the development of the Petite Princess, the eyebank has a new and more cost
effective tool for the evaluation of the corneal endothelium.
|
Vials vs Chambers
The E2 version of the Petite Princess allows either
vials or chambers to be used interchangeably. No matter what your surgeons want, you can
give it to them with the LSM 2200C/E2.
|
Reliability
The LSM series of specular micro-scopes have been the most
reliable and trouble-free specular microscopes in the industry.
|
Modular design
The modular design of the LSM instruments avoids
obsolescence by allowing updating of the instrument to accommodate new features. This
permits versatility and enables the incorporation of new developments or upgrading at
minimal cost.
Existing LSM 2100Cs can be converted to LSM 2200C/E2s at a nominal cost due to
Bio-Optics modular design philosophy. This philosophy makes the Total Cost of Ownership of
Bio-Optics instrument far less that our competition.
To get the latest in technology let us convert your LSM 2100C into the LSM 2200C/E2 Petite
Princess.

Ease of Use
The Petite Princess is one of the easiest to use
eyebank specular microscope ever designed. Generally, it needs no installation. Take it
out of the box, plug it in, turn in on, and you're ready to observe the endothelium.
The Petite Princess is truly petite, with measurements of only 10 l/2x7x7 inches
and weighing less than 4 pounds. She can be happily shipped worldwide in a very small
package, or carried with you, either in one small box or in two smaller packages.
|
XYZ rocking stage
The E2 model comes standard with a knob adjusted xyz stage
that can be rocked to observe peripheral endothelium. It is designed so that a digital
pachymeter can be easily added, if desired. The digital pachymeter can also read directly
into our Bambi 2500 software package so that the corneal thickness can be entered into the
Bambi database along with the cell counting data.
|
The first World Endothelial Microscope
A CE rated power supply for either 120 or 230 Vac is
supplied as standard. If desired the Petite Princess can be operated on 12 vdc so that it
can also be used in remote mobile facilities away from normal power lines.
